My technical title is Strength and Conditioning Specialist/Personal Trainer, but my main job is probably as a teacher. My overall goal is to teach everyone that I work with – I want to pass on the knowledge that I’ve gained over the years, whether from experience, school, learning from others, or from somewhere else. You could also say that I’m a motivator, counselor, consultant, and coach.
My focus is on female fitness, conditioning, and health. Currently, I train clients in my home gym. (No gym fees for you!) I can also train at Velocity here in Murfreesboro, or possibly at your home. All new and prospective clients can receive a complementary consultation/assessment and first session.
I’m constantly trying to learn from those more knowledgeable than myself. I try to be very discerning in the information that I take in, but I figure that everyone knows something that I don’t, so I’ve become pretty good at trashing the bad information and absorbing the good stuff.
I try to always keep things fun, because if it isn’t fun, why do it? I don’t ever want my clients to get bored when working with me, so I incorporate lots of different exercises, movements, and implements.
With all that being said, when working with me you have some options:
One-on-one (traditional) training: You come to my home and we work one-on-one. This is extremely limited due to minimal time slots available. More expensive, but you get all my attention.
Small group training: I can train 2-3 people at a time in my home gym. This is more affordable than one-on-one training and you’re still getting face-to-face instruction.
Online/distance consulting: You get access to me via email (primarily) and phone (secondarily). This is more affordable than the above options, but you’re not getting the same level of face-to-face instruction. This is geared toward those that are extremely self-motivated and very driven.
